In this privacy policy, we inform you of how your personal data is collected and processed when you visit our website at www.basevision.ch (“website”), when you visit our social media pages, when you contact us, or when you use our services.

Personal data processed during communication and the provision of services

We collect the information that you provide us with when you contact us, when you order goods or services, or when you apply for a job with us.
This includes general personal data, e.g. name and contact details, and any information on your position or role at the organization on behalf of which you are contacting us.
If you purchase services from us, we will also ask you for your financial data, e.g. your invoice address. We also process personal data that we receive from third parties. This includes personal data that we receive as part of correspondence or during meetings with customers or business partners, e.g. your name and information on your activities as a team member at the customer or business partner’s organization.

If necessary in order to achieve the purposes described in this privacy policy, we also collect general personal data from publicly accessible registers, websites or platforms (e.g. for the verification of your authority to sign) or by obtaining information from third parties (e.g. for reference purposes during the application process if you have agreed to this process).

Provision and use of our website

Use for informational purposes
You can find out information about baseVISION and our services via our website without telling us who you are.
As with any other connection to a web server, the server on which we provide the website automatically logs and saves certain technical data and saves this data for a short period. This includes the IP address and operating system of your device, the date and time of use, and the type of browser you are using to access the website.

Web analytics 

We use web analysis services (currently Google Analytics and Microsoft Application Insights) to analyze the use of the website and obtain information for its optimization. The web analytics services used by us use cookies to collect and save user data. The requesting IP addresses are shortened before being transferred to a server outside Switzerland/the EU/the EEA. We therefore do not transmit any personal data to the providers of the web analytics services outside of Switzerland.

Advertising technologies

We use advertising technologies on the website. This allows us to target users of our websites with advertising that is relevant to them when they are visiting other websites or apps. The advertising materials are displayed on the websites that you visit, based on an analysis of your previous use of our website. To this end, the providers of the advertising technologies set cookies when you visit our website.

Social plug-in

Resources from external websites

We embed resources from external servers into our website. These contain visible content (YouTube videos, images, Google Maps, links to partner and customer websites) and technical resources (Zoho CRM, Zoho Recruit, Microsoft Bookings, Eventbrite, Chat Widget).
The technical resources are used to improve the performance or security of our website. When these resources are accessed, the operator of the external servers will find out your IP address and/or certain marginal data that is necessary in order to use the servers of the external operator. Use of our social media pages

Our company pages on social media feature posts on current developments at baseVISION and on our range of services.
The social media providers collect and analyze usage data such as the number of visitors and demographic information on the visitors to our social media pages. We receive evaluations from the social media providers that are created based on this data. These only contain aggregated data or data that has been adequately anonymized in another way. Only the provider in question will be able to identify you based on the collected usage data. Therefore, please observe the data protection information from the respective provider.

Usage and optimization of our newsletter

To send our newsletter, we collect the information that you provide us with. This includes general personal data such as your first name, surname and email address.
We use analytics services to measure and analyze the use of our newsletter. The analytics services collect and analyze usage data such as the number of newsletter recipients who have opened the newsletter or clicked on particular articles. We receive evaluations that are created based on this data. These evaluations allow us to optimize our newsletter and provide you with content that interests you.
You can let us know at any time if you want to stop receiving our newsletter in future. To do so, please use the unsubscribe link at the end of the newsletter. When you click on this link, we will no longer measure and analyze your use of the newsletter in the future.

Photo, video and sound recordings

We take photo, video or sound recordings in the following situations:

    • Photos, videos and sound recordings of customer events and other events (where you can let us know if you do not want us to take any close-ups of you)
    • Recordings by our video monitoring systems during your visit to baseVISION. These recordings are used to guarantee the SOC’s admission control, and are only analyzed for the purpose of a function check or in the event of a suspected security incident. For what purposes do we process your personal data and on what basis?

    We primarily process your personal data in order to inform you about our services and to provide, document, and invoice for our services in accordance with our contractual and statutory obligations.

    We also process your personal data for the following purposes:

    • To answer your inquiries and communicate with you
    • To process applications
    • To provide the website
    • To analyze and optimize the use of the website
    • For marketing and advertising
    • To hold events, competitions and sweepstakes that you participate in
    • To optimize our posts on our company social media pages
    • To provide information about new developments from baseVISION and new services (e.g. via our newsletter, whereby you can let us know at any time that you want to stop receiving this information in future)
    • To guarantee IT security
    • To comply with statutory obligations
    • To assert legal claims.

    We have a legitimate interest in the processing of your personal data that corresponds to the specified purposes. Some processing is also necessary in order for us to fulfill our contractual obligations to you or our statutory obligations (e.g. retention obligations).
