Incident Response Preparedness Service

Plan ahead, respond with confidence.

The Incident Response Preparedness Service helps organizations develop a comprehensive incident response strategy, policies, and processes based on specific customer needs or to address findings out of the Readiness & Maturity Assessment. Why is this important?

Assessed gaps in the current incident response planning need to be closed for effective incident response.

There are certain building blocks, like an incident response policy or a plan, each organization should include in their incident response strategy. In collaboration with your internal subject matter experts, these deliverables based on priority, urgency and business impact are being developed.

Our templates are based on proven standards and enriched with real-world experience.

Conducting tabletop exercises boosts your confidence in executing incident response using the (newly) developed processes, tools, and techniques.

Receive specialized training on specific incident response topics and leverage the expertise of our baseVISION incident response specialists.

          How Does it Work?

          1. Scoping: We define the goals and deliveries during a kickoff workshop to work in a targeted manner.
          2. Preparation: We prepare the deliverables in collaboration with your internal subject matter experts to ensure they are aligned with internal processes and conditions.
          3. Review and optimize: We further improve the quality of the deliverables through a review by you.
          4. Delivery: We finalize the deliverables by adding your changes and provide you with the final version.

What does baseVISION’s Preparedness Service cover?

Our service is highly flexible and tailored to your specific needs. We help improve skills across three phases: Prepare, Respond, and Maintain & Optimize. Each phase is designed to evaluate and enhance different aspects of your incident response capabilities.

          Phase 1: Prepare

This phase focuses on establishing a solid foundation for incident response by having the right strategy, processes and tools ready. Possible deliverables include the identification of business-critical IT assets, the review of existing incident response strategies and process documents or their creation, as well as technical reviews and improvements to existing cybersecurity controls.

          Phase 2: Respond

This phase focuses on your ability to manage incidents quickly and effectively, minimizing damage and preventing further spread. Possible deliverables include technical reviews and improvements to existing detection methods, the classification and evaluation of security-relevant events, the introduction of methods to improve incident response measures or the optimization of IT recovery plans.

          Phase 3: Maintain & Optimize

The final phase focuses on post-incident activities and continuous improvement. Possible deliverables include the introduction of methods to incorporate lessons learned into the improvement of incident response capabilities and to actively manage cyber risks.

For organizations new to Incident Response, we offer a Fundamentals package that covers the essential elements, as illustrated in the following diagram:
