Enable hybrid identities with AzureAD Connect
Azure AD Connect is an on-premises Microsoft application that is responsible for several features that enable hybrid identities, such as:
Password hash synchronization, management for pass-through authentication or ADFS configuration
Synchronization of users, groups, and other directory objects. As well as, making sure identity information for your on-premises users and groups is matching the cloud
Health Monitoring – Azure AD Connect Health can provide robust monitoring and provide a central location in the Azure portal to view this status information
It is important that you keep servers current with the latest releases of Azure AD Connect. Microsoft is constantly making upgrades to AADConnect, and these upgrades include fixes to security issues and bugs, as well as serviceability, performance, and scalability improvements.
The Azure AD Connect Upgrade Service supports customers with the planning and execution of their Azure AD Connect infrastructure. The following service delivery options are available:
On demand – Customer contacts baseVISION when they require support to upgrade their current Azure AD connect service.
Azure AD Connect upgrade maintenance service – baseVISION will proactively monitor Azure AD Connect updates, inform the customer when important updates are available and support the customer with keeping their infrastructure up to date.
